Yet another one of those records that you flip by at the thrift store and think damn this looks like it must be terrible. That's usually what attracts me to records is the cheezy covers and the fact that they look really indie. Well this wasn't a piece of crap at all. This album is very eclectic with synthesizers, piano, guitar and some pretty funky drums in some tracks. He unfortunately titled the album after the worst track on the whole album. My personal faves are the last two tracks on the B side because of the funky drums and synths.

Side A:

Falling Leaves

Bananas (Vocals by Dennis Ferbey)

Ode

Disco Slot-Machine

The Old Man And The Sea

Side B:

Restless Harmonies

A Thought On The Piano

Pop-Fugue

Libra

Ex-Y-Z

Update:

I was not aware of this until very recently but Joseph passed away in 2006 after a battle with Cancer. After moving to California he became an integral part of The Freemasons. Below is a write up on Joseph from a Freemason newsletter printed after his death.

Thanks for giving me a chance to hear Josph's music again. I was a regular fan of his when he played piano st the Switchboard Lounge in the Bsmt of the AGT Tower back in the 70's.
The story of how I discovered him is a fun one: I was wandering in the pedway without the price of a juice (I don't drink) and two fellow picked me up bodily and carried me off ranting and raving about this really great piano player. I had a marvellous evening, all paid for by theses strange fellows and Joseph drove me home.

I too used to regularly drop in the switchboard lounge to listen to Joeseph play. Joeseph was also my piano teacher studying with him for about six months..I thought of him as a very talented musician..I would like to know how I can hear any of his recordings.

Hey Mario thanks for stopping by. Aside from this album I have only come across a couple of 7" singles he put out. Unfortunately I don't own them.
